Step 1 — Get your calendar file
In the school parent portal, open your student's calendar and use Share to get the Feed URL, then open that link in your browser — it downloads a .ics file. Paste the link below to open it, or skip straight to Step 2 if you already have the file.
Browsers block one website from reading another website's data unless that site explicitly opts in (a rule called CORS). School calendar feeds don't opt in, so no ordinary web page can fetch the feed on your behalf. Handing over the file keeps your student's private feed link out of any third party's hands — which is the safer arrangement anyway.
